Organiser Australian National University Centre for the Contemporary Pacific
The Centre for the Contemporary Pacific is holding an international conference at University House, the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.  The conference will review the nature and condition of states and territories across the Pacific Islands region from the perspectives of a range of disciplines in the social sciences and humanities.

  Papers are invited from scholars and commentators from within the region, including the Francophone Pacific, and beyond.  The conference language will be English with some French.  Scholars may also wish to propose Panel discussions.  Titles and Abstracts would be appreciated by Friday 24 October, 2003.
